Circus MAT
Karen decided we should take Johnny to the Circus MAT. The we managed to catch on of the last performances at the Manitou Art Theater (MAT). Apparently, the MAT annually produces a very small circus show. The stage is about 20×50 feet. So it is a very small circus. I was surprised just how much they can do in such a small area.
Johnny seemed to enjoy the show (as did everyone). After the show they gave away some fun hats. Amanda won a witches hat. Woohoo!
After the show, we walked around Manitou Springs (where Karen bought Johnny a push scooter), and Old Colorado City (where we had dinner at a Greek restaurant).
We went to the 4th of July Parade here in Monument, CO. This time we were smart and bicycled over, it’s only 3 miles. Last time we took the shuttle bus from the high school next to us. Coming back on the bus took longer than if we had walked home. We forgot that it was an election year. Well, that is until the parade started. At least half of the parade entries were political. Note to self: Don’t go the parade again in an election year.
We still had a good time, even with all the political stuff. Watching the audience was as fun as watching the parade.
